battery on my original laptop was down to 30 mins use, swapped this one in (unscrew case at back, then four screws to removed to take out old battery and swap in new one) and i am back to 7 hours of battery life - excellent!

Worked great to replace aging battery in Dell Inspiron 13-5000 series laptop.Original was down to around an hour from 100% charge, checked out that only one of three cells held charge.Pricey but was identical to original fitted battery and now have full battery use again.

Turned up on time, orignal Dell packaging and part. Fitted to Inspiron 13 5379 without any problem - plently of "how to" videos on Youtube. Has renewed the battery life as hoped. It is almost twice the price of the no-name alternatives, and I can't speak for if they work, but I tend to think you get what you pay for with these parts. Does not come with the short cable to attach the battery to the motherboard so you have to reuse the old one, but that was fine.

The Dell battery which was pre-installed in the laptop when I bought it lasted five years, but the Chinese compatible which I bought to replace it cost two-thirds of the price but only lasted 18 months. Very happy with Dell.

This worked perfectly and is like a genuine Dell part as far as i can tell. My laptop accepted it after i bought a generic one from another seller. The generic battery was rejected by my laptop and wouldn't switch on. This battery worked a charm.Highly recommend.

Arrived quickly. Looked genuine. Charged up well and fairly quickly. Only downside, so far, is that it doesn't retain its charge as well as the original Dell battery which came with the laptop. Discharges in about 3-4 hours compared with 7-8 with the original. Difficult to install without the right screwdriver. Could undo the main case screws but the 3 screws holding the CD portion were impossible, even though I supposedly had the right screwdriver!

As I had a Dell technician do two separate repairs on my Dell laptop, he put the battery in. I think it would have been straightforward to put in though.I don't know if the battery life is going to be good yet.It is good value for money.
